I tried a similar install and the hold down screw for the SSD was seized so I would recommend that anyone attempting this would simply buy a set of Phillips screwdrivers intended for servicing electronic components. Mine was seized to the point where I could not budge it and the torque applied broke the SSD socket when it did move slightly. In other words don't do what I did and if you run into a problem removing the SSD hold down screw, bring it to a professional.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00872470704261411449noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8922440028126506489.post-60173383196312456402015-04-10T13:57:52.529-04:002015-04-10T13:57:52.529-04:00thanks so much for this. it worked flawlessly. im ...thanks so much for this. it worked flawlessly. im now gonna try and do a hackintosh on it azzmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10848289577953434826noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8922440028126506489.post-64006228825646480512015-03-07T14:32:58.805-05:002015-03-07T14:32:58.805-05:00everything works: Adata Premier Pro SSD 256GB SATA...everything works: Adata Premier Pro SSD 256GB SATA3 SP900M.2 2242 4cm (ASP900NS34-256GM-C), thank you for your helpAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02135677068554817600noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8922440028126506489.post-90744532035103849792015-01-28T07:17:23.248-05:002015-01-28T07:17:23.248-05:00Could you please help me to get rit of the screen ...Could you please help me to get rit of the screen on which you have to press ctrl + l everytime to do the legacy boot? i want my hp chromebook 14 to always boot to ubuntu.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13590771587833219565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8922440028126506489.post-2334968740178876162014-09-30T00:31:28.960-04:002014-09-30T00:31:28.960-04:00After it will turn one but nothing shows on the sc...After it will turn one but nothing shows on the screen... any ideas ad to what I did?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12561417871380798135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8922440028126506489.post-39211293068855604312014-09-07T06:40:22.930-04:002014-09-07T06:40:22.930-04:00I can't remember but don't see any reason ...I can't remember but don't see any reason why it wouldn't boot without the A/C power after the change.Joe Freemanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13642403834748872077noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8922440028126506489.post-27792643911228586522014-05-27T04:30:52.492-04:002014-05-27T04:30:52.492-04:00After the upgrade, will it boot without AC power? ...After the upgrade, will it boot without AC power?
